I'm very active and enjoy going out and doing things in the community. Going to the beach, shopping, walking my dog, etc. I also like swimming, bowling, trampolining etc. When I'm home, I like watching Australian soaps and comedy films as well as cooking and property renovations. I can call from 2-8 hours a day, depending on your needs. If you need to travel, I am happy to support you on public transport or using my own car. £20 per weekday hourly rate £30 per evening, weekend, or bank holiday hourly rate £60 per hour emergency hourly rate (less than 24 hours notice) £390 live in day rate £1930 live in week rate Any travel using my personal car is charged at 45p per mile rounded up to the nearest mile. Why you should choose me - I treat people with the same respect and dignity that I expect my own family to be treated with, due to my 10 year career as a NHS healthcare support worker I have worked with a vast range of health conditions (there are not many I can think of that I haven't worked with) I pride my self on having a friendly manner and being non judgemental. as well as my experience I also have a strong academic profile in the healthcare field with a health and social care degree, all current manual handling/hygiene qualifications, I am also a current adult Nursing student, this allows me to undertake any additional tasks such as liaising with other health care professional that maybe involved within your needs. I do not usually like the term carer, this may sound a little odd as you have probably googled the term career to come across this cite but I do not see myself as a carer for my clients, I see myself more as a personal assistant. I adopt a "can do attitude to all my work' and have assisted many of my clients to help with their overall well-being, an example of this is a client whose kitchen and living room walls were a bit tired, so whilst I was there for companionship and hygiene, I painted the walls as this helped improve wellbeing which is what I am all about. The point I'm making is if I can do it, I will do it, but please don't ask me to put shelves up, my wife has been waiting for around 5 years for a curtain rail to be put up! I have 3 children 2yr. 8yr. 15yr olds, all my hobbies include spending time with the children my interests are wellbeing/holistic therapies, (I have just completed my qualifications in Indian head massage and sports massage and also undertaking a course to massage people with cancer) as you can probably gather from this statement, I like to keep busy.  SA9 1XW 67091 Began my Care career in February 2020, just after I had arrived in the country. I became a Healthcare Assistant at a Care Home. It appears I started working as a Healthcare Worker right on time, and very shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, the lockdown, and the staff shortages. During these months, I had the opportunity to really prove myself as a valuable member of the team. I became support staff and was working almost every night shift, by choice to help where I could. It was a difficult time for all, and I gained invaluable experience. I was nominated by several of my colleagues and superiors to be fast-tracked to senior. I am immensely proud to have been considered and I was extremely competent at running shifts and supervising my team on duty. Together we had continuously very smooth-running shifts. In June 2020, I was awarded Employee of the Month. I hold that title with great pride, and I hope to have the opportunity to prove myself in your organisation too. I have empathy, compassion and am a natural carer and nurturer.
