I used to work for a care company where I gained lots of experience with various type of elderly disabilities, illness stages and demanding care needs. I looked after clients with dementia, after hospital treatments, in palliative care - bed bound and on wheelchair. I am familiar with hoisting, convine changing, catherer care and stoma bags. I stay with clients for longer - for one of my clients I've been caring for five and half years. I am patient, friendly, well organised and I keep everything tidy around me. Happy to provide a personal care and assist with meals or medications. I can cook something light & healthy and can bake bread or sweet options. Obviously, I always discuss the menu with the person I care for respecting her/his meal preferences on that day. I also make sure that the client is not bored watching TV all day, but engage the clients to play together memory supporting games or doing crosswords. I have a full clean driving license and my clients enjoy to be taken out to see their relatives, friends, for a walk in greenery or shopping. I noticed that even a short walk in a park revives them and makes up for a missing ''social life" and people contact. As most carers I charge 150% on Bank Holidays. I do lateral flow or PRC test on regular basis to protect my vulnerable clients. I am willing to learn new skills and I think, I adapt easily to a new environment and new clients. I prefer to meet the client first and discuss in person any potential cooperation. I always put myself in the shoes of my clients to understand their perspective and to take every effort to make their life easier than it is. I create friendly, happy relationships with my clients and I believe, that I bring a great positive change to the life of my clients and their families. Please get in touch if you think I could make a change to your elderly you love.
