I have NVQ2 in Health and Social Care and a certificate in Access to nursing. I started live-in care October 2006 up to today. My responsibilities includes helping clients to maintain their independence and to live-in their own homes. Daily duties includes dressing, undressing, showering, body washing, bathing, brushing of teeth, hair care, nail care, moving and handling, house keeping duties including, shopping, preparing meals, laundry, ironing, record keeping, doctors appointments, administration of medicine, companionship and taking them to social outings in the community. Accomplishments: worked successfully with a wide range of individuals, with ranging needs both physical and mental needs. Developed a good rapport with all my clients and their families. I enjoy being a carer/personal assistant it gives me sense of fulfilment and I find it to be a rewarding career.
