I have a positive outlook of life, approachable and have great inter-personal skills. I have 3 adult children and raising them gave me a lot of experience in caring for the young and vulnerable, as 2 of them suffered from asthma when they were young. I have level 3 qualifications in Counselling Skills and Theory and which I apply in my practice by being a good listener and empathic. I also use the Person-centred approach when I care for clients. I have worked with people since leaving school. I worked briefly as a support teacher in a secondary school before I worked as a Travel consultant for 12years. I have worked as carer in different kind of settings that include hospitals, care homes for the young and old, the disabled, dementia unit, rehabilitation unit, palliative care in the community, complex care in the community and also companionship. I enjoy cooking, watching movies and documentaries, travelling, walking, listening to music and current affairs discussions especially on radio 4.
