WV14 0RW 75559 I have been a Carer for 5 years including supporting clients with Dementia, Physical and mental disabilities, children with Special needs and challenging behaviours. I enjoy helping and supporting people.  I genuinely care about people and want to make a difference in people's lives.  A typical day as a Carer would look like, I greet the client with a positive attitude, asking how they are, what they would like to do, I understand the importance of being valued & respected regardless (being seen and heard) of the health condition and disability. It's so important to work around the clients needs i.e. find out what they like to do etc. I always provide person centred care and adapt to each client ensuring their needs are met safely and within their care plan. Having things in common like playing board games, singing, cooking etc makes it an enjoyable pastime for client and the Carer.  I work within the given times to organise, get priority tasks done and work with the client. I do my best to provide enjoyable companionship as it's important to work well together. I always like to create a positive experience as I have a friendly personality which enables me to be good with people. I like to leave the client feeling better being around me at the end of the day and complete routine tasks/additional tasks to the best of my ability. I do my best to show up as a great Carer by looking after myself physically and mentally so I can best look after the clients needs in return.   Being able to adapt and build a healthy relationship with the client is essential and by delivering the upmost professional care service with integrity is vital. It's important that the client feels comfortable around me within  healthy boundaries to support their needs. In my spare time I love going for walks in nature, going to exercise classes like Yoga and Pilates. I love travelling, exploring new places of interests and going to the theatre. I am self published Author of a poetry book. I enjoy reading and listening to Audio books especially on self development, looking after my health and wellbeing, mediating, practising spirituality, listening to ambient music. I very much like cooking healthy foods.  I love going for walks in the countryside and I am fine with pets as I have managed to look after 2 cats on a 1 week live-in-care placement. Although, I do not have my own pets at present but we had a dog when I was a child.  I do love animals and supported many clients in the community who have had cats, dogs amongst other creatures. :-)  I have experience of live in care as well as care in the community.  I am available to undertake hourly work if not working in my live-in care role.  Happy to discuss further. :-)  0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

WV1 2NP 292476 As a good carer, I approach my role with empathy, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility. I aim to create a supportive, safe, and respectful environment that allows individuals to maintain their dignity and independence. A typical day with me would reflect a combination of practical support, emotional care, and engagement in activities that promote well-being. My skills in moving and handling and hoisting would ensure that I assist with mobility needs in a safe and comfortable manner, always using the proper techniques to prevent injury to both the individual and myself. Whether helping someone get out of bed, move from a chair, or transfer to the bathroom, I would make sure that they feel supported and confident during every movement. In addition to physical support, I would engage the individual in hobbies they enjoy, such as music or crafts. I might play their favourite tunes or encourage them to participate in crosswords or puzzles to keep their minds active. For those who enjoy physical activity, I could incorporate gentle exercises tailored to their abilities, promoting mobility and strength while also . Cooking is another area where I provide care, preparing healthy, nutritious meals that meet any dietary restrictions. I would involve the individual in the process when possible, whether it’s choosing the ingredients or helping with simple tasks, which adds a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment to their day. Throughout the day, I would also be attentive to any health needs, ensuring medications are taken on time, monitoring well-being, and adjusting the environment as necessary to maintain comfort and safety. I would always prioritize their emotional and psychological needs, offering companionship, listening, and providing reassurance when needed. By combining practical skills like moving and handling with engaging activities and a caring attitude, I would work to create a fulfilling and positive experience for those I care for, promoting both physical and emotional well-being in their day-to-day life. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"3"}
