I have w...More What makes me a great carer is my experiences of life: I'm gentle, calm, understanding and very patient. Service users say I'm bubbly with a good sense of humour. they enjoy my company. I understand the importance of retaining independence, freedom of choice, dignity and respect. I have worked in various care settings: care homes, hospices and domiciliary since 2006. I've cared for individuals with disabilities, mobility and sight impairment, elderly people, cancer, dementia and Parkinson affected individuals, people with MS, people just recovering from hospital treatment, end of life. I have supported individuals in their homes assisting them with personal care, shopping, some cleaning, cooking, outings and any other things they need to remain living at home happily. I enjoy crocheting and knitting. I also like social games such as cards, bingo and puzzles. I love reading, listing to the news, good movies and art and craft too.
