I've worked with adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour and dual diagnosis of learning disability and mental health needs. In recent years, I work with adults and children with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and challenging behaviours. I have experience with both adults and children with ASD diagnosis. I love my job and supporting people to maximise their potential and have a real passion for the work. I enjoy a very proactive approach in supporting people and enabling them to be independent and build their skill sets. I have basic knowledge of both Makaton and Signalong as alternative and additional tools for communication needs. I'm bubbly and I like to join in activities with people I support and encourage as many positive experiences as possible. I have worked with some very complex people and supported them with behaviour management over the years. I really do want the best for the people I support. On a personal note, when I'm not working, I love being with friends and family and having down time with them. Love a good box set that I can get engrossed in and listening to music. Down time is about doing as little as possible with the ones you love to spend time with.
