I am a woman who grew up knowing that it takes a community to train a child. As a Carer I strongly believe that one has to be willing to learn from every Client as they are all unique individuals with their own personality and care needs. Willing to learn as every individual's care needs are different. I am a good listener as this empower the client by enabling them to make their own choices in their best interest. I am flexible how I can work adjusting times to suit the client's care needs. I have worked from Residential care home, prisons, mental health, hospital wards for Stroke, Cancer, Respiratory, Surgical, general and orthopaedic. Listening is one skill as it allows me to get to understand the client. Each client deserve to be given dignity during personal care and all times , respect and listened to their wishes. I have worked with clients who have stroke, hip/knee replacement, old age, cancer, MS, Cerebral Palsy, parkinsons, Spinal injuries, complex care needs such as Tracheostomy, PEG, stoma, catheters and wounds. I believe given the opportunity to join your team, I would bring these skills and work as part of the team using my own initiative adhering to all care plan assessments and needs to reach to a toast of a milestone ensuring the client is safe and comfortable. Putting a smile on a client's face, making a difference in their lives as they feel loved make me strive each day to do more within my capabilities.
