I have 18 years experience in various care settings in the UK. I am a compassionate, hardworking and flexible carer. I managed to de-escalate anxieties by giving lots of reassurances and used diversion skills, bringing my client back to calmness and normalcy. I believe clients should have a choice of being supported in the comfort of their own homes and that I have a duty of care and responsibility and go an extra mile in making them feel special, safe and valued. I treat my clients with dignity and respect knowing that they are their own unique individual. My live in care experience includes providing companionship, personal care, catheter care, toileting & continence management. I can operate most moving & handling equipment. These include manual and electric hoists, ceiling hoists, stand aids, transfer aids. bath hoists, sliding sheets & boards etc. Above all, I am willing to learn new skills in any environment. My previous clients reckons that I am a good cook. Personally, I enjoy cooking all sorts of dishes, paying special attention to providing a well balanced nutritious meal. I am conversant with some popular Engish dishes such as Cottage /shepherd's Pie, Bangers & mash with variety of sides veg. I also cook basic Italian meals such as Spaghetti Bolognese, lasagne, tuna pasta bake etc. My qualifications include NVQ3 in Health and Social Care Adults, BSc Degree in Community Health and Wellbeing, PGD in Public Health. Lone working, Health and Safety, First Aid, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding. I would appreciate a good working rapport with my clients where we can reach an agreement about my weekly working rate and other various working conditions. For instance: I require a two hourly break at some point during my daily shifts in accordance with legislation. If I work less than one full week then a daily rate should be agreed upon. Also bank holiday rate payable at time and half. I enjoy most fun activities, walks, cooking, music, movies, computers, travelling and outdoors. I look forward to seeing you soon. Cheers!
