I have been in the care industry since 2014. But 6 years prior to that I cared for my Grandfather at his end of life. I would say providing his care and building my carer in care has made me the confident carer I am today. Caring for a family member is totally different to caring for an individual. ...More I have been in the care industry since 2014. Caring for a family member is totally different to caring for an individual. I knew nothing when I cared for my grandfather and had no support from the outside world. I have learnt so much in the last 7 years as a professional carer, but I know I have lots still to learn. I began my journey as a care assistant then became a team leader and helped new carers in their new journeys. I then took on the position as care coordinator this was all at the same agency. This role was very intense and demanding, I put my heart and soul into this role and I still really enjoyed providing care for clients regularly. I have my level 2 and 3 in health and social care and I am looking forward to completing my level 5 in the near future. I believe in person centred care and like to think I deliver care to the highest standards. When I’m not working I like to spend time with my two dogs and family members. I am an experienced, hardworking care worker who is dedicated to enabling individuals to live life how they choose, as long as the activity will not cause harm to anyone involved. Looking forward to the next phase in my social care journey.

We are so lucky to find Denise. She has such empathy and my brain damaged brother-in-law has taken to her being there as has always been there to help. She has made life so much better for our family. And is so sensible and responsible I would recommend. Anyone needing a genuine caring person would love Denise they have to say

I would like to personally thank both of my Mum's carers, Grace and Denise, they are patient and caring and keep me fully informed as to what is happening via a WhatsApp group, which was Denise's idea. Mum has early onset dementia and is sometimes a little too quick to say that she doesn't need help. They communicate and cover each others shifts if needed and Grace very kindly adapted her visit to collect mum from our house in Totton recently, enabling mum to attend a BBQ at ours.
