This job required a number of key skills e.g. keeping financial records, up-to-date diary records, ensuring health and safety in the work place, dispensing of medicines and supporting individuals with various disabilities in their home. This was a full time post. Were I gained many new skills including moving and handling. Also assisting the individual with their everyday needs and activities whether that was attending a medical appointment or just getting out for exercise and a change of scenery. I feel I am relaxed and easy to get along with. I am able to prioritise work and problem solve well. I can work as part of a team but also just as good on my own. I found the work challenging and rewarding. I enjoy many different social activities such as walking/rambling driving and visiting places. I also enjoy sports and playing the guitar, also keeping my mind and hands busy learning new skills. I have a up to date DBS

Excellent

Brian has supported me in the care of my husband since June 2022 until my husbands dementia progressed so much that he entered a care home recently. Brian is warm, caring, gentle and patient regardless of any circumstance. Supportive of myself as well as my husband. he is totally trustworthy and I had no reservations about going out and leaving him in my home with my husband. I have no hesitation in recommending Brian as a carer. sorry to lose his input, but we do keep in touch.
