I am enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy individual who has gained a wide range of skills and the abilities. Having excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with a range of people on all levels. I am able to work under own initiative and within a team to achieve your objectives. A practical hands on person with the ability to pick up new skills quickly and efficiently. Can priorities tasks and work to meet all set targets and deadlines and proactive in all work undertaken. I am keen to work with a client within my existing experience or a new area to use transferable skills gained so willing to undertake any training required to update existing skills and abilities. Work Experience Agency work in the community doing care work /companionship work in the local community 2022-present Full Time Parent Time at home with my daughter 2018 – 2022 Nursing Assistant, NHS, Wakefield 1986 – 2018 Worked within Forensic Psychiatry in multi-disciplinary team across several areas Supported people with mental health difficulties/learning disabilities both men and women Helped to rehabilitate people in community to live independently as possible Worked alongside other professionals to produce activity programmes Knowledge of psychology, counselling skills, active listening and a non-judgemental approach Update patients records and handover information to colleagues at the end of a shift Worked with doctors and other healthcare professionals to decide what care to give Gave advice to patients and their relatives on a wide range of issues and matters Kind, caring and patient and able to remain calm in stressful situations Union Rep for 10 years, supporting and helping colleagues with any issues that arose Completed all relevant training and kept up to date on all polices and procedures During my spare time I enjoy being active, I like going the gym , swimming, cycling and also going out walking. I also really enjoy cooking. I enjoy spending time with son and my daughter and doing various activities with them. References available upon request.
