I have worked in the health and social care sector for over 40 years and have had the pleasure of working with people both in hospital and in the community. I have experience of caring for: people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, dementia, older people, brain injuries - this was my nursing speciality. I worked as a social worker for many years and have excellent knowledge of the health, social care and voluntary sectors. I am very caring, respectful and committed to providing a safe, compassionate and reliable support service. I looked after both my parents in their old age at home - my mother had dementia and I have a very good understanding of this condition. I am able to also provide hygiene cleans and help with shopping and general home help tasks too. PLEASE NOTE: I don't offer help with personal care tasks. I adore animals, I have always had rescue pets. At present I have a gorgeous Siamese boy. I have a pet first aid certificate. I love cooking and crafts such as crotchet and designing greeting cards. I also enjoy doing people's hair, last year I undertook a part-time hairdressing course just for fun!

Anna Maria is an excellent member of our team. She looks after Mum during the day and makes sure she has a hot lunch. Her previous experience as a Nurse is very helpful and we respect her choice of role knowing that there is that experience behind her. Anna Maria is a good communicator and reliable with an excellent approach to manage with a smile whatever the day brings.
