I have over 20 years experience in the Care industry and in supporting individuals with their daily lives. In this time I have developed many varied skills, which I execute with compassion and a professional approach. I am a hard worker and enjoy getting to know my clients so I can support their needs, interests and hobbies as best I can. It’s good to share stories & experiences of life. I respect & value my clients’ privacy and I support independence where appropriate and possible. I am an efficient house keeper and like to keep my clients houses clean & tidy. I enjoy helping my clients look their best at all times & have experience in all aspects of personal care- such as self grooming, dressing, hygiene needs. Assistance with cooking, cleaning, administrative & house hold duties are all in my remit of care. I have a full driving licence & enjoy taking clients out & about if they wish, as part of a healthy lifestyle ie walks/ wheelchair in the fresh air; to visit friends & family; shopping; or places of interest. I am happy to work on a daily basis or provide 24 hour care as well as restpite care. (This may be dependant on the geographical location of my clients home). After many years of working with children with assisted learning & physical needs, with both the public & private sector I moved towards caring for the elderly. I became a self employed private carer, both as a daily support worker and 24 he care as part of a team, spanning nearly 12 years now. I am a creative person with an interest in the Arts. I was a trained ballet dancer in my youth, so very much enjoy watching dance on the TV or theatres. I love to be in nature whether for a walk in woods or beaches, walking dogs or gardening. I like to cook healthy meals & soups but perhaps need more practice with baking! Watching old movies is also a favorite pastime as well as reading. I enjoy peacefulness and activities such as board & word games, drawing & painting. As a Christian, I am happy toto take my clients to their preferred place of worship.
