Over ten years experience of working within the care field, I am confident in providing compassionate care to different individuals with various care needs, including the frail elderly with dementia, end of life care (palliative care), supporting individuals with mental health issues and learning disabilities. I have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member whilst demonstrating and monitoring high standards of care practises to the care team and ensure these are maintained by all staff. Always open to new ideas and willing to learn and can learn very fast. I have a strong belief in continuous professional development. I got exceptional ability to communicate to an array of people from different backgrounds on various levels from academic to business associates to individuals with mental, physical and learning disabilities. I have found out that effective communication, good listening skills and patience are essential when carrying out my work practice in promoting and encouraging individual rights, independence, choice, fulfilment, values and beliefs. I have experience and ability in planning and organising the team’s work through implementing the organisation’s performance management policy and ensure that designated staff carries out their duties in a way that maintains high standards as required.
