On my 2 weeks off I worked in the ambulance service doing patience transfer. I have now decided to return to live in care as full time carer. I like to evaluate my clients individually for the first 2 weeks and then I can advise how long my rotation can be. When doing live in care I prefer to have my 2 hours break each day, I can be flexible on the time of break. I am available for most public holidays where my rate will be charged at time and a half, I am not available for the 2 weeks over the Christmas period. On my week off I can do part time live in or sleeping nights. I am looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. I am able to drive clients cars and I am comfortable driving manual and automatic cars. I have worked with clients who need assistance with personal care, dressing and medication prompting. I have worked with early stage as well as late stages of dementia. I feel it is important to go for walks or little outings like tea and cake, if my client is mobile and happy to, if not I am happy to find indoor activities. I do enjoy cooking well balanced meals and meals my clients would request or enjoy. I also love baking. I am happy to do grocery shopping and light house duties. I am happy to travel longer distances as long as traveling expenses are covered by the client. I am confident in my skills, qualities and abilities to provide the best care for my clients.
