I am kind and hard working, a good communicator and patiently listens to clients and help them to live independently. I have worked with people with dementia, multiple sclerosis and stroke. I enjoy helping clients look their best by assisting with hygiene, toileting, eating, cooking, cleaning and any administrative tasks. I enjoy taking clients out to meet their friends and coffees. Before I became a carer I worked as a primary school teacher for 18 years in Zimbabwe and I enjoyed the experience of working with children. I am good at cooking and baking. I always enjoy trying out new recipes. I am part of my local church and love to sing. I prefer to have my clients more mobile but I have got experience of working with electric hoists, I prefer to evaluate my clients and than advise whether it is safe. I like to have a 2 week getting to know period of care and then I can advise on my rotation period. I am happy to drive clients cars if insured and I can operate manual and automatic cars.
