I’ve worked as a carer for the elderly and vulnerable since 2008. I'm a conscientious, compassionate, caring, and reliable person with an ability to relate to clients and their families in providing high quality care in order that the vulnerable and elderly can live with dignity, respect, independent and comfort in their own homes. Moreover, I have an innate interest and enthusiasm for helping people which makes it easy to get on with people and build strong lasting relationships with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals. Over the years I have undertaken a range of workplace training courses like Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding Adults and Children to Food hygiene and Safety for compliance. I’m experienced with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Brain injury, Visually Impaired, Diabetes, Spinal Injury, Physical Disabilities, Palliative Care, Old age and Pre and post op care. With that experienced of working with different types of care needs, I’ve increased my confidence in doing duties such as personal care, administering medication, light housework, shopping, cooking, arranging and accompanying to appointments and companionship.
