I’m Jenna, 38years young- a happy, confident and friendly carer. I have been caring for as long as I can remember, developing a specific skill set when working as a behavioural specialist and teaching assistant in a special educational needs school, then caring for my Nan when she reached the end of her life, to now privately caring for the elderly and working within the NHS as a community rehab assistant and palliative care. I have worked along side nurses, therapists, psychologists to a name a few, increasing my knowledge in the care industry and I feel that my experiences and training have given me a better understanding of the physical, social and emotional needs of my clients and how important it is to have a person centred approach. I take the time to learn about your loved ones - making them feel at ease in my presence and ensuring a positive care approach . I have cared for those young and old, some with dementia, others including epilepsy, autism, ADHD, motor neurone disease, mental health in a number of variants, blind and rare syndromes such as Rett and Angleman. Caring is just in my nature, I consider myself a compassionate and patient care assistant with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life of the individuals in need of care and support.
