I have extensive experience working in the health and social care industry as a care assistant and support worker for more than ten years from residential care and nursing homes, domiciliary care with older persons, supported living people with learning disabilities and mental health problems. Thro...More I have extensive experience working in the health and social care industry as a care assistant and support worker for more than ten years from residential care and nursing homes, domiciliary care with older persons, supported living people with learning disabilities and mental health problems. Through these employment roles, I gained knowledge on how to safeguard individuals with health needs and I also developed skills, including verbal and written communication skills, team- work, organisational, time management and leadership. I also gained basic counselling and listening skills often in stressful and sometimes aggression situations. I have gained knowledge of treating everyone equally regardless of their age, sex and religious race, and data protection and confidentiality as a part of good care practice. In addition, I successfully completed Health Community and Social Care degree at the University of Winchester. The course focused on improving the health, wellbeing and understanding the related needs of different of communities, within the context of substance of substance misuse, mental health, older persons, and disabled people. This course has helped me develop effective skills for working with individuals and groups and academic knowledge of the political social issues from the services users and providers within health and social care. Overall, I gained knowledge needed to be proficient worker across a range of community and care settings. I consider myself as competent, motivated, conscientious, and hardworking individual who has a passion for working with vulnerable adults, families, and children to improve their quality of lives and for them to live independently. My key strengths are my ability to relate, empathise, engage, and understand the needs of the people under my care and present, advocate and negotiate with relevant professionals and agencies to meet their needs. I currently work as a support worker for adults and young adults with health complex needs such as autism, physical and learning disabilities from different backgrounds with different needs. My role is to support individuals with daily activities, personal care and, also provide physical and emotional support Additionally, my role is to safeguard them to ensure that individuals live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. I also worked with older persons some of them whom had dementia-early and late stages through Be Happy at Home I provided support ,companionship personal care everyday activities and physical and emotional support whilst maintaining their independence and used person centred approach. I also carried out assessments to meet individuals needs. I have strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills developed through working with a variety of service user groups with different abilities and backgrounds and working with different professionals and agencies. I have a proven ability to work as a valuable team member and work on my own using my own initiative . I am also a hardworking with good communication skills and I'm also a caring individual who uses a person- centred approach. I believe that i will make a positive difference to peoples lives,..
