Personal Statement : I am delighted to give back love ,care and support to people l love and my community.I am passionate about caring and helping people when they need care and support.I am a mother of three adult children who have achieved their career,the eldest sister in my family and my in-law...More Personal Statement : I am delighted to give back love ,care and support to people l love and my community.I am passionate about caring and helping people when they need care and support.I am a mother of three adult children who have achieved their career,the eldest sister in my family and my in-laws ,l was leaving with my father-in-law who suffered stroke and was discharged from hospital .He needed a lot of care and support to encourage him on his treatment plan which includes physiotherapy. I developed a lot of attachments to my family and very observant building up my skills ,nurturing and caring . I have worked in several care environment with vulnerable clients and patients. I have also developed the caring and nurturing skill from caring and supporting my son who developed an eye condition called keratitis at a very young age. The only treatment was to have transplant of both corneas. I have previous experience of working as a nurse in Africa. However, ever since I relocated to the UK, I have been working in the community supporting people with complex needs and with my nursing background l am able to give care and support person centre. Going through COVID 19 pandemic has been any eye opening for me, a lot of people require help and and support in caring and receiving treatment.l know l am capable of doing this caring job. I have worked more than 20 years in the hospital environment and I am able to apply the skills of dealing with infection control which is the most crucial situation to be considered. Living with love ones on special treatment like diabetes l always provide support by using my nursing knowledge to raise awareness and treatment. Acquiring knowledge it will be of great achievement to my family and the community as I have developed a lot of attachments with people around me.I have also discovered through my experience lam able to identify people’s needs and being close to them you can help them giving more information. I have very excellent communication skills with different people with different care needs. My hobbies include going to church ,gardening at the allotment and before Covid19 use to prepare food for homeless people.Also visiting old people around my parish catholic community supporting and giving them companionship. I like to talk and make someone smile and appreciate,also like to help people. It is within my blood l like to help seeing someone feeling better with my support and my best feeling to see people in good health and wellbeing supported by giving best treatment when it is needed.
