I have genuine commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable elderly, older adults and children. With confidence and competence I am able to undertake tasks as part of my role and to contribute to the team effectiveness patient observation, taking vital signs observation, food and fluid monitoring, documentation and basic nursing care and observation; bed wash, feeding, manual handling, hoisting, etc. I am able to transfer my acquired and inherent skills to my new role for the greater benefit of the service users. Besides my engagement as a carer, I have also engaged actively in the community in programs aimed at challenging the stigma of diseases and to benefit the vulnerable and disadvantaged persons suffering from different health in the community. I posses a compassionate approach in dealing with the unique needs of the vulnerable individuals in the society. I also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working towards the care and wellbeing of the service user. I am proactive and thus able to champion the care needs of the individual by working in a person-centred way to achieve the required results. I am also very aware of the principles of confidentiality, respect, dignity and privacy of the service user. I have a diploma in health and social care from a reputable healthcare training provider and I have also undergone several standard training both as part of a job and a personal development plan. These essential trainings enable me to meet the needs of my roles as support worker and meet the service users needs. I am committed to learning and improving my skills and knowledge through working with my colleagues and by further training/education. My goal and aspiration is to meet the needs of the patient/service user at all times and I am committed to sustaining duty of care and good practice.
