It is very rewarding when I can make someones day better, easier. I enjoy working closely with others and I'd like to think I am a good listener. I have over 6 years experience working in care industry, including over 2 years as a live in carer, but also in a community and private care. Mostly I have worked with people with dementia, but I also have experience with hoisting and stoma care, recovering after surgeries and I am happy to learn new skills and gain new experience. Before becoming a carer I worked as a physiotherapist in a rehabilitation centre, which involved working with people after a stroke, variuos heart conditions, after hip/knee replacement and others. I had a personal experience caring for my grandmother with Alzheimers disease and other with mobility issues, providing personal care, feeding and moving and handling. Julia was always completely reliable, friendly and patient, finding different ways to engage with Dad, and was an invaluable support for Mum.

Julia has been an excellent carer for my mum who has dementia. She has provided outstanding care and companionship and mum sees her as a close friend. Julia is prompt, professional and very reliable.

Julija (Julia)has been an outstanding carer for both of us over the past six months or so. She is very understanding of all our needs, thorough and quick in tasks. More importantly, she actively looks for ways to help us. With her physiotherapy training, Julia also provides excellent support for our exercises to improve our mobility. She is very friendly and cheerful – and our cat likes her visits!
