I have the relevant experience from my previous support worker/carer job where I covered the main duties which include personal care, social inclusions, companionship, prompting medication and filling notes/records. I want to be a carer as I have the determination to make a difference to the lives of others. I am a very empathetic individual that treats all my service users with compassion and with dignity and the respect they deserve. I am very goal driven as I ensure all my tasks are completed to the best of my ability and I have always received a satisfaction from my work as I have seen the difference I've made to others positively. I fully understand the role of a carer as I know that this role includes building a one to one relationship and providing encouragement, guidance and support so that my service users can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices.
