I also have excellent communication skills, and strong organisational skills and I am able to communicate at all levels. I am naturally cheerful and most of my clients comment on how I lift their spirits with my general attitude. I pride myself on providing dignity to the clients while maintaining their independence. I started caring in 1999 and have been looking after people since then. I have run my own agency and have been a care manager but prefer to look after people. I have over 20 years of experience providing quality care to people within their homes with various health issues. I have an NVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care and receive regular training on subjects such as health and safety, manual handling, food hygiene, dementia, infection control, etc. I have on the job experience with Catheter Care including changing and emptying the bag and cleaning the site area, the same with Stoma care. I also have on the job training for peg feeding. I am happy to use either an overhead or manual hoist but will assess the client to see if it should be done single or double handed. I am looking for sleeping or waking night shifts, Mon to Fri 10 to 7 if local or 10 to 6 if not in my local areas which are Beaconsfield, Amersham, Gerrards Cross, Hazlemere, etc., as have the school run to do in the morning. I charge time and a half for public holidays and I don't work on Christmas Day or overnight. I believe I'm a good cook that can make a wide range of food. Please be aware that I am a non-smoker and can't work with any client who smokes in their home.
