I cared for my grandparents in my country as an unpaid carer from the age of 10 until they both passed away in my early twenties. I came to live in London 30 years ago and naturally worked in the care industry. I have worked with various client groups including the elderly who have dementia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, mental illnesses, physical disabilities, visual impairments, brain/spinal cord injuries, in nursing homes, residential and their own homes. I have also worked with young people with challenging behaviour who live in residential homes. For the last 12 years, I have worked as live-in carer with the elderly delivering care and support in an effective way that is safe, appropriate, that meets their needs and protects their rights. I have a full UK driving licence. My interests are cooking, gardening, crosswords, theatre, cinema, music, driving, travelling and keep fit.
