During this time I have gained a vast amount of knowledge which made me feel the need to increase my knowledge academically. I then gained a degree in Health & Social Care in which I received a first class honours. I thoroughly enjoy and feel that not only do people with a disability need support, but other people in society also need support and companionship due to different factors in their lives. I enjoy an array of activities and open to learning and experiencing new activities. Life is truly a box of chocolates so and I am open to trying all the flavours. Ultimately, giving my time to people who need and want it is very fulfilling for me, which brings such joy to me knowing that I am putting a genuine smile on someone’s face. I also understand the need to work in a person-centred way to deliver care and support as it is the only way to genuinely put a smile on someone’s face. This is because as a support or care provider you are meeting their needs by providing care and support the way the individual wishes.
