I have the experience, skills and trainings to work effectively by looking after patient's in a person-centred approach that meets their individual care needs. I am knowledgeable about caring for the elderly and children in various capacities including providing physical, emotional and mental health support to clients and their families. I also use acquired experiences, trainings and procedures to deal with difficult situations when it arises. I enjoy looking after my clients in a professional capacity by respecting their autonomy, values, beliefs and morals at all times. My job responsibilities includes and not limited to the followings: • I assist patients regarding personal care e.g bathing, washing, shaving and oral hygiene. I assist patient to make and change their beds. I assist with preparation of light meal , laundry and light domestic chores. I assist patient with eating and drinking if they find it difficult to feed themselves and set up peg feed if required. I assist patient with poor mobility to move around safely using standard and recommended moving and handling equipment's. I assist clients with medication handling and prompting if they have the capacity I ensure patient individual dietary requirements are meet. I accompany patients to hospital appointments if required. I monitor patient’s conditions by taking and recording vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, oxygen saturation and weight. I update clients/patient medical charts, such as fluid balance, diet, stool, blood sugar and care plan. Above all, I am a compassionate, loyal, trustworthy, reliable and dependable both in my professional and personal capacity.
