I was a carer for 15 years for my late partner who had multiple sclerosis. I have also been caring for an individual who has dementia for 12 years in her own home . I have experience in personal care and have lots of patients, with a caring nature. I always show empathy and I am very approachable. I a have a non judgemental approach and very proactive. I have excellent time keeping and resilient. I always ensure the person I’m caring for has dignity and a voice. I have a very good sense of humour and always stay positive in a negative environment. I am a qualified social worker with counselling experience too. I volunteered at St Michaels Hospice as a bereavement support worker and have since worked for the Home Office supporting children with Mental health issues. I have worked in various childrens homes where I have cooked meals for the house on a daily basis. I have had a full driving license for 34 years. I have 3 dogs and an animal lover. I enjoy walking , swimming, all types of music. I can knit and bake cakes. I like reading and enjoy listening to peoples life experiences.
