I have also been a vol...More I am a mum to 4 lovely children and have worked in care for 20 years with a few short breaks for starting a family and studying for my degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Psychology. I enjoy having nice walks with my family and dogs in the lovely countryside where we live. I have also been a volunteer puppy walker for the Guide Dogs for 5 years now, caring for the pups in our home from around 8 weeks of age until they reach their sight traing age at aroung 18 months. I started as an Auxiliary Nurse in my local NHS hospital 20 years ago which allowed me to develop skills and knowledge in different care settings. I have been a self employed carer for 6 years working through my local councils Direct Care scheme. I have my own transport and can be extremely flexible. I am patient, compassionate and respectful of my clients needs and wishes. I am a professional carer with a friendly and empathic manner. I believe a carer should give their clients 100% and believe clients should be treated with respect and dignity at all times. I have hands on experience with catheter care, stoma bag care, moving & handling and oxygen therapy via mask or trachea.
