My experience has taken me to several different care settings from nursing homes, live in care, and residential care. Further to this work experience I am trained in Dementia awareness, Depression, Health and Safety in the Kitchen, Safe Guarding vulnerable adults and children, Fraud Detection, Medication, First Aid and have a certificate in Counselling Skills. I have extensive experience caring for people with Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Behavioral Issues, Depression, and Palliative Care. My approach to care is person centred. Companionship and friendship are essential qualities for building trust and familiarity with my clients. The safety and wellbeing of whom I care for is a top priority. These values I hold have allowed me to build fantastic relationships with the family's and people whom I've cared for. I am an upbeat person who loves to live life with a smile on my face. I love all things creative and holistic and enjoy sharing these ideas and activities where possible with my clients. I'm passionate about this world and exploring different cultures. I care deeply about current affairs and how they affect society. My interests cultivate the spiritual outlook I have on life, and I enjoy attending my local church and also like to attend worship with the quakers when possible. My mother tongue is English and as such I speak, read and write fluent English. I am computer literate and have excellent communication and time keeping skills. I understand that it has become increasingly harder to find carers to care for your loved ones. The thought of having many faces come and go through the door is a daunting thought.
