Two of my children are school age which has given me the freedom to resume my job in domiciliary care in the community. I also have a baby boy. I currently have over a years’ experience in social care. During this time, I learnt many skills centred around the personal care of the elderly and vulnerable. I have experience with administration of medication, catheter emptying/bag changing as well as hoisting. Depending on the clients’ specifications, I am comfortable using a hoist solo or if required with another individual. I am capable in the kitchen and would be able to prepare meals if required. I have a willingness to learn new skills and I am not afraid of new challenges. My son has recently been diagnosed with Autism. This has given me the understanding of the struggles people have that are not always obvious. It has also made me a more patient individual with the ability to understand and empathise when an individual is struggling mentally as well as physically. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances I had to pause my role as a community carer to be a stay-at-home mum during the pandemic. I am now looking at working during school hours with the possibility of the occasional weekend. I would also be available for short notice visits if these were within my hours of availability. I am a very bubbly individual. I am patient, a good listener and enjoy working closely with others – especially older people. I always arrive with a smile and always strive to create a positive and happy environment. I am tripled vaccinated and lateral flow test regularly. Full driving licence held For availability, please message me.
