The most important aspect of it, is to keep my clients safe and sound in their own homes. We don’t need infections and bugs. The easiest way to get those, is to go to hospital. So, minimising the risk of falls and infections is paramount. I’m adept at dealing with surgeries, district nurses, physios, and occupational therapists, and I'm familiar with many types of equipment that can make a client’s life easier. I also believe in getting out of the house where possible, to events or socialising, or even if it’s just a walk with the client around the garden, or up and down the road. My cooking skills are really good, and I can produce not only traditional British meals, but even more exotic stuff. I believe in using fresh produce, and I don’t take the lazy way out by using frozen ready meals. I’m happy to travel throughout the UK, however, if distances are considerable, I would look to recover travel expenses. Should there be excessive night calls, there would be a surcharge. I am happy to work periods of 1 to 4 weeks at a time, but suggest a settling in initial period of a week or two, to get to know each other. I have established great relationships and friendships with my clients, and I believe that I have added an injection of happiness and positiveness into their lives. This in turn has touched me, bringing a lot of self-satisfaction into my own life.
