I'm married and Mum to 11 year old twins. Originally from Cornwall, I've lived in Poole since the early 90's. In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy open water swimming all year round, baking and spending quality time with my family. Having worked in healthcare for over 12 years, I gained valuable experience supporting older adults in their own homes as a domiciliary carer, an Auxiliary nurse within an hospital unit and residential home settings. As well as the experience I have gained from previous care positions, I am a carer and advocate for my daughter who has multiple disabilities. I feel I have a special appreciation for what it really means to provide person centred care, with dignity and respect. I am passionate about supporting clients with patience and compassion, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
