SE5 0BJ 250718 My name is Jennifer S and I am a kind, hardworking, loving, dedicated and trustworthy person. I have been a care for 4 years and have found that most elderly persons just want someone to talk to. I consider myself a very good listener and this has enabled me to better understand their individual needs so I can provide them with right support to keep them happy and jovial. I am highly energetic highly focused. It’s my life ambition to help those who less able to do so. I am dedicated to being on time and understand that being late can effect the routine of the person I care for. I will go above and beyond to meet the expectation and to ensure that I give my all to protect and care for the elderly. I am a none smoker and love to keep place clean and tidy. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

N16 0JT 76416 I have a back ground working with (CBOs ) Community Based Organisations. In my line of work I have always met people with different needs in terms of their well being. Listening to those people made me wanting to help them more and most especially reassuring and creating confidence in them. I have worked on a project called EPP, expert patient programme and this, introduced me to people who had a variety of health issues/ long term conditions. The programme was to help them manage their conditions .This makes me a superb carer for many patients have passed through my hands. The most fascinating client I have worked with for 5 years who just passed on last month, had a very rare condition called FOP-A rare genetic connective tissue disorder. This client encouraged me to self teach myself about that condition which made me an outstanding carer and I was able to bring more life to him. I have done courses on Mental health and I am in position to care for someone suffering from anxiety, depression etc... I have worked with patients who had stroke and early dementia and I managed them very well. I am passionate about my work caring, kind and always bring joy and happiness when I am on duty. I am experienced and confident, I am trustworthy and I have good communication skills. I always have a listening ear to my clients/patients. I provide emotional support to my clients/patients and I am a self motivated worker as well as dedicated to my job. I also have hands on experience from in-house training on how to use NIV: Non Intensive Ventilation but no certificate. For Live out, I would prefer to work Monday to Friday. For live in position, I am only available for Friday to Monday 2 weekends in a month as I am currently working with a client the other 2 weekends. Also, I am happy to cover areas in about 30 to 40miles . For the position of live in, I would have 2 hours break so Family or Client have to arrange cover for that break time. Bank holidays are charged at double time. Finally, I am a very good team player ,a problem solver and always eager to learn new skills . 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

Every day as a carer is different, but my goal is always the same: to provide the best care possible with compassion and respect. A typical day with me as a carer starts with a friendly greeting and a chat about how the person I'm caring for is feeling and what they want to do that day. I believe in starting the day on a positive note, setting a calm and reassuring tone. Morning routines usually involve helping with personal hygiene, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. I always make sure these tasks are done with the utmost respect for the person’s dignity and comfort. For example, I had a client who loved having her hair styled a certain way, and seeing her smile after I helped her with it was always the highlight of my morning. Meal times are another important part of the day. I enjoy preparing meals that are not only nutritious but also catered to their preferences. I remember one client who loved a particular soup his mother used to make, and I took the time to learn the recipe. It’s those little things that make a difference. Throughout the day, I assist with medications, ensuring they’re taken correctly and on time. I also keep an eye on their overall health and well-being, noticing any changes and acting quickly if needed. What I love most is spending quality time with the people I care for. Whether it’s playing a favourite game, going for a walk, or simply having a conversation, these moments are special. I had a client who enjoyed gardening, and we would spend afternoons planting flowers and vegetables. It was not only therapeutic for him but also incredibly rewarding for me to see him so engaged and happy. In my career as a carer, I aim to provide not just care, but companionship and support. I’m passionate about making each day better for the people I look after, helping them live their lives to the fullest. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4"}
