This included personal care, meal preparation, social outings, hospital visits, companionship, researching treatments/therapies, sleep support, technology to support learning and academic achievement, sourcing mobility equipment, and working with O T’s and physios to deliver and review therapies. I always adopt a person centred approach and appreciate and understand that people are individuals with their own specific needs, personalities, and lifestyles. I have experience as a Sleep Practitioner and have worked with and supported parents and children to identify and overcome sleep issues/challenges. This involved facilitating sleep diaries to identify problems, and identifying child/family friendly solutions/goals, and regularly monitoring progress and recording outcomes. All children I have worked with had Autism and/or physical disabilities. I have a vey calm and professional manner, and can communicate effectively and confidently.
