CT11 7PG 125992 My name is Ngarita (the g is silent so Na ri ta is how you pronounce my name) Im originally from New Zealand but have lived in the UK for over 25 years. I have always been involved with caring for people who are vulnerable from my first years of working with both adults and children who had special needs, physical and mental disabilities to changing my path to care and support elderly clients or those recovering from operations and illnesses to end of life to help people to remain in their own home. I have experience from companionship to caring for people with dementia and the challenges that that may bring. I enjoy working with multi disciplinary teams to deliver care and I have also been responsible for managing teams of carers in a placement if needed such as in 24 hour care. I'm very happy to accompany clients on outings, appointments etc if public transport or other means is available and appropriate. I have my UK drivers licence for an automactic. I'm looking for daily/nightly care but will consider a week or two for respite live in. I'm happy to travel for example to London from Kent if the hours are for longer periods i.e a day and/or sleeper duty/nights or respite live-in. Happy to accompany you should you want to go on holiday and need a companion or need someone to accompany you to your destination to join others. The rates displayed are a guide line and the basis for Monday to Friday day rates. Weekends are usually a little more per hour and also bank holidays will be charged at a double rate. Rates open for discussion ie if 24 hour live out cover is required then the rate could be lower. I love to travel and are very interested in other cultures, the arts, sport......love watching sport. Love the outdoors especially being by the coast. I enjoy cooking and food so are capable of producing nutritious meals. Shopping running errands. Happy to do light housework and even mow the lawn if needed. I've been described as laid back but able to step up when needed. Firm but fair. Fun with humour and more than capable. Supportive and caring with empathy. I'll be there to encourage you to do as much as you can and are capable of doing. Or if you just need some companionship and security for you to remain at home Im more than happy to be that companion. I can look after you if your recovering after an operation and or illness. I also have like mentioned earlier experience in End of Life/Palliative Care and can be there for you and or a loved one to support and care for you/them through this time. When your new to arranging care it can be quite daunting...with my help and experience it doesnt need to be. I can be there to help take the worry away and make the transition into care as smooth as possible. Please do contact me if you think I maybe of help or you want to know anything else. CT16 1QS 275032 I have 5+ years of experience in care and have had the privilege of caring for many wonderful people and I also have cared for some until their passing. I believe that every individual requires to be given support through their conditions with dignity and respect and to also be supported to have a fulfilling life in whichever stage they may be of their life. At the heart of all care is the individual first and making sure their care needs are met. I strongly believe in person centred care. I also have supported other carers about health and safety when supporting our service users. These are some of my strengths and also knowing that kindness, compassion, honesty come naturally when i know that caring for others is my calling. I also have learnt to stay calm and level headed when faced with challenges as sometimes challenges may arise. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

CT19 5EL 278604 Personal Statement With over two decades of dedicated experience in health and social care, and a robust academic background, I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Positive Behaviour Support to further my commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My journey has been driven by a deep-seated passion for creating supportive environments that foster positive behaviours and personal growth. Professional Journey and Experience Over the past 22 years, I have worked across various roles in health and social care, where I have honed my skills in supporting individuals with diverse needs. My career began as a care assistant, where I obtained an NVQ Level 2 in Care, which laid the foundation for my understanding of the principles of compassionate and person-centred care. This early experience ignited my passion for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and it set the stage for my subsequent professional and academic pursuits. Throughout my career, I have held various positions, each adding to my expertise in the field. From working in direct care roles to taking on supervisory and leadership responsibilities, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with behavioural needs and the strategies required to support them effectively. My experience spans residential care, community support, and educational settings, providing me with a diverse perspective on the implementation of positive behaviour strategies. Academic Background and Professional Development I hold a degree in Intellectual and Developmental Studies, which provided me with a solid academic foundation in understanding the complexities of intellectual disabilities and developmental disorders. My studies have equipped me with a thorough understanding of the theoretical frameworks and evidence-based practices that underpin effective support strategies. Complementing this, I earned a Diploma in Health Studies, further deepening my knowledge of health and social care principles. As I progressed in my career, I recognized the need for continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field. I have participated in numerous training programs and workshops, including specialized courses in positive behaviour support and behaviour analysis. These opportunities have allowed me to expand my skill set and apply cutting-edge techniques to my practice. I look forward to hearing from you to discuss how I can best assist you in your home. My rates range depending on your needs. Once we have had a consultation we can negotiate rates.
