BN11 2JE 60628 Hello I have been a carer for the last 23 years and have been lucky to work across different sections in care. I have experience working with people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Acquired brain injuries, Downs Syndrome, Epilepsy, Alzheimer’s , Dementia, Palliative Care, Sensory Impairments & Mental health conditions. I’ve worked in residential homes, supported living settings, day centres, hospices & predominantly community support work. This has strengthened & developed my skill base & knowledge. I have very strong person centred values & take great pride in my work. I have good listening skills and am an empathic carer. My training is kept up to date via Qintil & FuturU healthcare training. Curamcare registers all its carers with NACAS (National Association of Carers & Support) which offers access to various training sites including the NHS learning portal. I am also registered on the VPCR (Voluntary Professional Care Register). I love animals, bring amongst nature , walking & meeting people from different walks of life & being creative. Music is a big happy part of my life as is reading & watching good movies, and of course family & friends. Cooking is another enjoyable past time for me & I have fun with trying different dishes from around the world. I have good time management & can be flexible with hours. I’m very happy to assist with dog walking for clients and cat care. Rates do not include any parking charges if the client lives in a residential parking zone. This will need to be discussed in interview. Please contact me if you have any questions or if you feel I can be of assistance. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I have been working in a Residential/Care home where I have industry training at one of the best care homes in West Sussex, I have also worked as a carer in the private sector with placements in Dorset, Windsor and others. Before that, I worked as an air hostess for British Airways taking redundancy after 20 years and then getting into the rewarding world of care and loving it! I am ideally looking to help/serve/look after just one person(maybe two) I would like to provide 1st Class care without compromising (I was never very good in economy!) I like to treat each person that I look after as one of my 1st class passengers, and I do!. Their well-being and happiness are the most important element and I won’t leave until the client is content and my duties have been done to a high standard! Always happy to go that extra mile! For me, it's important to empower my clients and always be able to think outside the box to make things happen. I work well on my own or as a part of a team taking on board the needs and wishes of each client and adapting to suit! So if you need that pint of milk before I start my shift, please just ask! Happy to be as flexible as possible where your needs take priority at all times. Very understanding, honest, positive, punctual, caring, approachable and at the same time professional and focus, with a sunny disposition, own car driver and flexible. I have a private carer insurance and latest certificates I have been vaccinated for pretty much everything and recently, of course, covid. I take a covid test 3 times per week (2 x LFT + 1 x PCR) Apparently, my hands, feet massages are highly recommended! (basic reflexology course) I love organising/tidying, so I apologise in advance if I can’t help myself and do a little ‘Mary Kondo's organising magic’! I don’t smoke and rarely drink, try to have a balanced and healthy lifestyle as possible! While working as an air hostess I used to work in our 1st Class cabin so I try to replicate that service where possible while at the same time I tend to follow some care home guidelines, so you get a nice pretty special but safe mixture! Pls, feel free to say hello! Hope this is not too long!? (apologies if it’s! Sorry if I have sent you asleep already! ??❤️ Oh! And about my preferences. I adore ladies! I rather do long days/nights/living in! I am happy to travel .. but that may cost a little extra! Coronavirus vaccine and also recent flu vaccine (6/12) Latest; I have given notice at the care home where I am currently working to facilitate a much-needed availability! so from Jan/Feb 2022 availability will be better as I will only focus on Curam clients. Latest Coronavirus Booster (20/Dec) - All vaccinations up to date! Non-smoker and generally well behaved! Part of a micro team so I can always facilitate other quality carers if I am unable to help you. From Nov 2024 I can provide Emergency/short term care(long days or living in) Also availability during Xmas 2024. Pls feel free to get in touch References on request 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

BN15 8DB 142916 I have worked in health and social care for 19 years through various roles, beginning as a support worker, I progressed through senior support worker ,field manager to Registered manager for charity and private home care services, providing support for adults and children. I have managed centres for people living with dementia symptoms, I managed services for the Alzheimers society and worked closely with palliative care and continuing care support services. Within these services, I initiated the need for care support plans to change , to improve support to people being cared for and their carers. I devolped the care plans for local Authority Services that provided palliative care funding and support, making them more person centred and inclusive. I am passionate about people and wherever possible to enhance quality of life and promote independence. Care is personal and very unique to each person, I am mindful and very supportive of choice in the way people wish to be supported. I moved to West sussex from London 9 years ago where I changed my career as Registered Manager and began part time work with Alzheimers society, then on to various private care. My change came as I decided to pursue my hobbies of craft and teaching mindfulness and meditation into a part time business, which Is offered through care I provide and inclusive for carers and families. I have remained supporting people with care needs,as this is set in my heart and is something I care very much for. Through my career I could see there was much more needed than essential care and decided to include, mindfulness to support people to manage life's challenges as they are happening, reducing stress and anxiety and improving wellbeing. I enjoy cooking, gardening, walks along the downs, swimming, fitness ,reading and have a wide range of music interests . I am friendly and calm by nature and have the ability to listen and support people the way they wish to be and am mindful of privacy. I am naturally compassionate and will endeavour to make sure people I work with feel they have my support, trust and understanding. I have a good sense of humour and a positive approach in life. Please note that my hourly rate is £22,non inclusive of parking. If you live in an area where parking restrictions apply, we will need to discuss parking rates , due to the costly rates some areas charge, or of course we can look into parking permits the council authorise for carers . Bank Holiday Rates will be at 1.5 , exception of Christmas Day ,Boxing Day and New Years Day which will be charged at 2x hourly rate. I occasionally I work add hoc weekends (when I have availability), please note the weekend hourly rate is £25.00ph . The rates are based on support for 1 person , i am happy to support a couple where it is safe to do so and open to discuss rates with you. thank you Best Wishes Michelle 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

BN12 5QZ 249908 Thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Maria Do Ceu, but since childhood, I’ve been known as Skye — inspired by the meaning of "Ceu," which translates to "Sky" in Portuguese. I am a dedicated and compassionate carer with over three years of experience in both live-in and live-out complex care. I have worked with a wide range of clients, from children as young as nine to elderly individuals up to 102 years old, supporting needs such as companionship, dementia care, neurological and mental health conditions, palliative care, and other complex medical requirements. I approach every role with professionalism, warmth, and capability, always striving to provide not just physical support but emotional comfort as well. Beyond my healthcare experience, I bring a diverse skill set — acting as a Personal Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, driver, cook, and organiser — but most importantly, a reliable friend and helping hand. I am patient, calm, and solution-focused, able to navigate challenges with empathy and care. Passionate about health and well-being, I live by the principles I encourage in others: eating nutritious meals, staying active through daily movement, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. I firmly believe these habits contribute to both physical and mental vitality. I am available for: Live-in roles on a 2-week rotation (with travel expenses covered by the client both ways). Regular day or night shifts of 10 to 12 hours. (Please note, I am unavailable for shorter shifts.) I am open to traveling across the UK as required and am experienced in driving manual, automatic, and mobility vehicles. If you are seeking a kind, positive, and capable carer who listens to your needs and genuinely cares about enhancing well-being, I would love to connect. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"4, 5, 3"}
