BL79TT 7204 Hi. I’m Jennie, I’m 42 & married to Stephen, (who is also an experienced Care worker) - we have 3 older aged children; Brittany (20), Tyler (16) & Dylan (11). We live in the rural village of Egerton & enjoy exploring the local countryside. I’ve worked in various fields of Care for 25 years including Childcare as a Nanny/Housekeeper & a Registered Childminder - on occasions I’ve cared for children with mild to severe disabilities, autism & blindness. I’ve cared for adults & children with severe disabilities & medical conditions including MS, dementia, cancer, blindness or who have suffered a stroke & adults who have mental health conditions & children with autism and for those who required care at the end of their life whilst additionally offering my full support & compassion to their families. I feel I have always offered a sensitive approach to all of those I’ve cared for, always ensuring their needs are met in a kind and dignified manner. In 2024 I graduated from the Open University with a Diploma of Higher Education (Open) following 4 years studying Psychology, Mental Health & Health & Social Care modules. I have also gained an Advanced Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care which followed my Level 2. In addition to this I have a NVQ Level 2 in Early Years & Childcare & have been certified with Key skills in Communication & Application of Number as well as mandatory training certificates, such as moving & handling, medication administration etc. I’ve always enjoyed my role as a Care worker, meeting many wonderful individuals & families who I’ve built up a rapport with & being able to care for them in their own home whilst always promoting their independence has always given me great job satisfaction - whilst always ensuring each service user’s individual needs are attended to & that their safety and confidentiality remains paramount. I am looking forward to continuing to offer my care experience & expertise to those who should require them. My hourly rates vary depending on the care & tasks required & rates are all negotiable. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"1, 4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"4, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"4, 3"}

I have experience working with young adults and adults with mental health, learning disabilities and Autism. As a carer I ensure the people I care for, whether they’re family members, elderly people or people recovering from an accident or long-term illness, feel safe, secure and most importantly that they are being treated with dignity and respect. I am passionate about the care I provide and the needs of the people I care for. I ensure the care I am providing is person-centred and in the interest of the service user and their families, often going the extra mile to make sure the appropriate level of care is achieved. I view working in the care industry not as a job, but as a professional vocation and will always want to learn more and build on my existing professional development, knowledge and skills. As a care worker I do hold experience and qualifications in Health and Social Care as well as completing specialist and specific training for health conditions such as Dementia and Parkinsons and these training is continuous. I have the empathy and the ability to put myself in the shoes of the people I care for. The ability to do this allows me to fully understand the needs of my service users and will tailor the care I provide around their understanding to ensure high quality, person-centred support. I will always be patient and will understand that it’s what you achieve that’s important, not how long it takes you to achieve it. I understand the importance of positivity and how it plays a huge part in someone’s well-being. I will always greet the people I care for with a smile and a positive attitude. I will encourage them to do what they can and will support where needed to ensure you are living as independently as possible or that your mental health and wellbeing is being attended to if required. I am dedicated to being on time and understand that being late can affect the routine service users. I more than often go above and beyond what is expected to ensure service users are comfortable, safe and that all needs are met. I respect and empower your decisions and not assume you are unable to make them. With my experience and communication skills I have saved countless lives coupled with my observation skills. There have been many occasions whereby I have noticed signs and symptoms, which has led to health conditions being recognised early for service users.Being observant can also help with identifying issues and ensuring that service users eats, drinks and sleeps enough. I equally will be able to communicate any health concerns effectively with third parties and will always reassure you. Being easy to talk to and a good listener is extremely important in providing the best care. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}
