I have experienced clients with many different levels of care requirements to include: End of life, Cancer, Visual impairment and hearing difficulties, Mobility (mild to severe lower paralysis), Incontinence (urinary & bowel), Catheter & Stoma, Dementia (mild & advanced). My personal interests are nature & animals, gardening, music, oil painting & writing. I enjoy cooking (but probably better at baking), love to travel and presently chasing my 'bucket list'. Overseeing health and safety with moving handling equipment. Meetings with social work and other outside agencies. Risk assessing and managing workload with a team of colleagues. I then spent a short spell with adults with learning difficulties in the community and then to care at home with a local council. I am very enthusiastic and appreciate the importance of someone living as independently as they can within their own home and the community. I have my SVQ level 3 in social care as well as my hnc in social care. My optional subject was loss and grief. I have a wide range of experience and knowledge and will always approach the care with the individual in mind. I have always worked with a person centred approach and i will utilise this with each client i support.
