I chose the health care pathway while caring for my mother who was diabetic and eventually kidney failure, during that time we would spend a lot of time In and out of hospitals taking her for her dialysis sessions. I would sit with her and I would notice a lot of Nursing staff running around doing all that they can to make the patients comfortable, when mum demised I decided I wanted to carry on working supporting others with different health needs.Whenever I support the individual it is of utmost importance that I maintain privacy, dignity, as well as promoting choice and independence.
