BH16 6BP 67760 Hi, my name is Liv, I am 31 years old and have been working within the health and care sector since I was 18. I always knew my career path would lie within healthcare as my passion is helping people and my skills involve communication and my ability to empathise and always put others at the heart of what I do. I started my career as a domiciliary home carer for older adults and those with dementia. I loved this role and did this full time for a year before continuing part time whilst I studied towards my BSc in Psychology which I achieved in July 2014. I then moved to working in a residential home supporting young adults with autism, epilepsy, mental health conditions and challenging behaviours. This role challenged me but I learnt so much and really enjoyed working with people with additional needs. This led me to the last six years which I have spent working within a community learning disability team in the NHS. This role gave me great experience in working with adults with a range of physical and mental illnesses, disabilities and conditions. I have a range of different experiences and qualifications including manual handing, first aid, basic life support, medication management and epilepsy. My hobbies and interests include music, running (I am not the fastest but like to do the distance!) walking my dog, and spending time with family and friends. I am very sociable and chatty and enjoy being around people. I also spent some time recently volunteering as a events first aider for St John Ambulance which involved providing basic life support and other first aid to the public at a range of events including the London marathon and bath rugby games. I believe that every person I work with deserves the best standard of care I can provide, every single day. If you have any questions for me please feel free to get in touch. I am working alongside another role but am happy to consider requests on an individual basis. I have experience with catheter and stoma care but may need a refresher. I am always willing to learn new skills. {"field_care_type_first":"0","field_care_type_second":"0","field_care_type_third":"0","field_care_type_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":"0","field_care_type_sixth":"0","field_care_type_seven":"0"}

BH15 1RJ 131688 Hi my name is Karlene but usually my colleagues call me Kay. I am from the lovely sunny island of Trinidad and Tobago. I have been in the health care profession for over 20 years. I’ve worked in the hospital and this is where I gained most of my knowledge, training and experience and this is where my passion and motivation grew tremendously in caring for others. I have always taken caring very seriously and as such have devoted myself not only to ensure the health of the patient but also their happiness. I believe all clients should be treated equally with respect and dignity. I am a jovial, empathetic and devoted individual who takes my clients needs very passionately and it gives me comfort knowing my clients are contented. I’m currently working one to one with a young client with autism and learning disabilities, I am always willing to broaden my spectrum and further my career in the health care profession. I am fully vaccinated . Over all I am very hard working, committed and am always willing to learn more, as this is a passion that I hold true to my heart. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4"}

BH12 5HT 262948 I have worked in Care for 10 years and realised that this is where I find the most joy meeting clients and learning more about them. By doing so, I am able to provide the best experiences for them to enjoy their interests and hobbies, making them feel like they are in control of their day to day choices. My first exposure to Care was when I volunteered a Care Home in Chile where we spent our time assisting with meals, feeding, clearing up, then doing activities such a playing games, knitting, crafts, also manicures for the ladies and nail cutting for the men. This was the deciding point in my life where I realised my passion is to Care for individuals, always trying to make it fun and varied. I am very patient and accommodating, always keeping the next person in mind. Having done all levels of training in the industry, I can utilise those skills to ensure I complete my tasks safely and effectively. I like to approach my Care as if I am caring for my own Mom and Dad, I would do anything to ensure they are well cared for and lack for nothing. I have worked with clients with Alzheimers and Dementia, Parkinsons, Stroke and challenged mobility. I have assisted clients in end of life care and ensured the family was kept informed at all times. In all these cases I work well with third parties, GPs, Physiotherapists, District Nurses, Palliative team, Specialist therapists (speech) My typical day would be ensure my client is assisted with their personal care and is well groomed. I am able to provide a nail cutting services and make sure they look their best, ensuring they have been given the choice of what they would like to wear. I would then prepare any meals, administer medication and ensure there are sufficient drinks so they stay well hydrated through the day. I am more than happy to then complete any home chores, put on the washing, change bedding, hoover, empty bins, and ensure the home is pristine. If I need to leave a snack for later, that will be left ready for when required. If the client is wanting to go out to any activities, or to do some shopping, I have a full clean driving licence and will happily take my client out to their favourite coffee shop for their most enjoyed treats. Before I became a Carer, I worked in Regulation in an office environment, and since I have done Care, it has made me realise how valuable and precious our lives are and to be able to give the next person the opportunity to live their lives their way and to the make it as fulfilling as possible. I love entertaining, cooking and travelling, which is another way to meet people from all walks of life, discover the interesting foods they eat, and just to learn about the history of their country. This has proved beneficial being a Carer because I can always share my travel stories and prepare meals differently to make it all the more interesting. Having "crafternoon" sessions, is another way I enjoy engaging with my clients ensuring they are improving their fine motor skills, it improves their self esteem and will bolster their mood. It is always lovely to have a sense of achievement. I would love to hear from you, so do get in touch. Thank you. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}
