This role was an incredible experience for me where I had a greater insight into all areas of care. I worked closely with local authorities and governing bodies and gained further experience. My father in law has a diagnosis of late stage Parkinson's disease and I provide care for him on a daily basis. Gaining experiences and working my way to the top to become a registered manager was what I always aspired to become however caring for my father in law made me realise that was why I wanted to become a carer in the first place. I wanted to help and care for people and that's when I decided I wanted to be a self-employed carer. I have a small family consisting of my partner, our 5 year old daughter and 2 dogs.
