My experience has taken me to several different care settings from nursing homes, live in care, and residential care. I have extensive experience caring for people with Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Behavioural Issues, Depression, and Palliative Care. My approach to care is person centred. Companionship and friendship are essential qualities for building trust and familiarity with my clients. The safety and wellbeing of whom I care for is a top priority. These values I hold have allowed me to build fantastic relationships with the families and people whom I've cared for. I am an upbeat person who loves to live life with a smile on my face. I love all things creative and holistic and enjoy sharing these ideas and activities where possible with my clients. I'm passionate about this world and exploring different cultures. I care deeply about current affairs and how they affect society. My interests cultivate the spiritual outlook I have on life, which I get to exercise at my local church and Quaker meeting. My mother tongue is English and as such I speak, read and write fluent English. I am computer literate and have excellent communication and time keeping skills. I understand that it has become increasingly harder to find carers to care for your loved ones. The thought of having many faces come and go through the door is a daunting thought. Private Care can ensure that your loved one is building a repour with their carer and a familiarity which puts them and yourself at ease. I live in Stevenston and am available for care work throughout Ayrshire. The number of hours you book with me for will depend on how far I am able to travel within Ayrshire. Small care packages can be considered closer to where I live, while larger care packages can be considered for locations further afield. PA2 0EQ 278496 Hi, my name is Matebe, but I prefer to be called Matty for short. Personality I am a compassionate and empathetic individual who values making meaningful connections with people. I believe in the importance of kindness, patience, and understanding in every interaction. I approach my work with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others. My calm and reassuring demeanour helps to create a comfortable and supportive environment for those I care for. Beliefs I strongly believe in the dignity and worth of every person. I am committed to providing respectful and personalized care that honours each individual's unique needs and preferences. I believe in fostering independence and empowering those I support to live their best lives. My approach to care is holistic, focusing not only on physical needs but also on emotional and social well-being. Hobbies and Interests In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities that help me stay balanced and energized. I love baking and cooking in my free time as this helps me relax. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, and swimming as this allows me to appreciate nature and stay active. Education and Skills I have a solid educational background in Nursing and i have vast knowledge in elderly care, dementia care, those that have had a stroke, those that suffer from Parkinson and many other chronic conditions. I am proficient in medication administration, mobility assistance, personal care, etc and on the other hand I am always eager to learn new techniques and best practices in healthcare. What I Am Best At I excel in building strong, trusting relationships with my clients and their families. My strengths lie in my ability to listen actively, communicate effectively, and provide tailored care that meets individual needs. I am particularly skilled in creating structured routines that promote stability and comfort for those I support. My attention to detail ensures that all aspects of care are meticulously managed. Dreams and Aspirations My ultimate dream is to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those I care for. I aspire to continually improve my healthcare skills and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field. My goal is to one day lead a team of dedicated healthcare workers. I look forward to the opportunity to support and care for you or your loved ones, bringing my passion and dedication to every interaction. As I’ve added cooking as one of my hobbies, I would be able to prepare home cooked meals which would be nutritious and well balanced. I do kind a make home cooked scones (smile) as well. As a qualified nurse there will be roles I would be willing to undertake when a post comes along that will require nursing care such as PEG/NG feeding, stoma care, Parkinson care, post operative care whereby client will be needing basic physio/exercise at home , post stroke care, catheter care. This would be agreed with the client and family. If a live in opportunity came along that just needed a carer I would also love to be of services as before I became a nurse I was a live in carer and I enjoyed it this the reason for me wanting to get back to one to one care. I would be happy to look after female clients on their own as we as male client on their own. If it is couples that both need caring it would be agreed before hand. I am available to do long placements of up to 6 weeks. If clients want to trial me out first for a minimum of 2 weeks I would also be available. I am quite flexible and would work with the clients needs. I would also be happy to have my 2 hour breaks, however this can also be discussed withe client/family. Every individual would be different. I would be happy for my transport to be covered both ways. I am have been Covid vaccinated and I also get my yearly flu vaccine. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":""}

PA2 6XJ 73748 Hi, my name is Danielle and I would like give you an insight of how I cared for my loved ones the responsibilities I took upon myself to learn and learning a lot from the ones I cared for, the different needs others have and how I could care for and assist my clients in my role. Helping to dress,undress, putting on slippers shoes showering or top & tails if this is difficult for them depending on their day. Housework duties, washing ,cleaning, hoovering, ironing, changing bedding and other things when needed. When sometimes things go wrong for them TV (major for my loved ones) simple things like changing batteries, sorting cables, lightbulbs, phones home/mobile. Healthwise I know how important medication is and would make sure they get theirs when needed, I changed dressings ( only with healthcare providers instructions) I can help with foot care I can cut nails and generally watch out for things that can go wrong especially if there diabetic my dad had quite a few over the years and they need treated asap. I sorted out all the appointments, hospital, doctors/nurse, podiatry, dietitian,INR clinic. I am more than willing to work with a family member to make sure you loved one is taken care of over the years I have seen many things due to my father's health this has given me the skills to provide others with the care I can offer. I like to play games dominoes or cards and even jigsaw puzzles and i'm willing to try other games (Teach me something new) I have a serious side and I have a fun side too I will fit to their preference. I like to talking to others I love hearing about their lives especially older people there stories are fascinating at times I'm a good at listening and one to one time I feel is important again if that's what is needed. I can reassure anyone that I will respectfully understand your loved one, I will treat them with compassion and look after them like they were my own. I understand from being a carer to my dad for so long that's all I ever wanted ( I had medication prompt for my dad and 4x daily when he had 2nd TIA) as it is always on your mind that they are getting looked after I promise you I will do that. I am willing to answer any questions before hiring me especially if you are just unsure!! I want to share with you how I got to be a carer, To start when I was a teenager I used to look after my Autistic nephew when my sister needed me holidays or respite. I started looking after my elderly father in 2009 full-time after he had a turn when we were shopping I was classed as an unpaid carer I devoted my time to him any time of the day and night we worked well together and I knew him so well, I got to learn when he was unwell even a urine infection in an elderly person is bad causes confusion, he had diabetes rheumatoid arthritis (mobility was bad) cellulitis on very swollen legs (fluid) recurring diabetic ulcers, gout (stopped him walking at times) chronic kidney disease ( high potassium) diet was crucial, he had x3 TIA in front of me which I dealt with promptly, heart attack while in hospital, my dad and family members reckon I saved his life not just once, after the 2nd TIA he was left with cognitive impairment and I had to change the way I cared for him as I would never see him upset. I wash him on occasions and cleaned him after he wet or soiled himself. I shaved his hair and I shaved him when he was unwell otherwise he was as independent as he could be and I'd helped him be that. I took him shopping and days out to see his family(siblings) I am very committed and compassionate I will look after others and listen as much as they want to speak I will be respectful and responsible for there needs I feel confident going forward and doing this. I lost my dad to covid in 2020 aged 85. I have just recently looked after a lady aged 86 with late stage dementia she had sundowning and family members wanted me there a few nights a week again to look after her and to reassure her also they needed respite, she is now in full-time care family members are willing to give references. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

I’m happy to work towards what suits the family’s and clients needs best in all aspects when assigned to a placement. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}
