I work one permanent night shift a week but provide additional day cover as and when needed. I cover all aspects of personal and domestic care to include bathing, showering and managing medication. I am responsible for preparing all of her meals - this covers shopping, cooking and freezing them for the month. I have accompanied my client on mini-breaks to provide support and companionship. I also have experience of working for a gentleman who had MS together with a man who had an acquired brain injury. However, I never left, for me it became more than a job, I loved my clients and the role, it all flowed naturally for me.
