Knowing that the client is smiling, happy, trust me, is free to communicate with me with whatever they want to makes one great. Living with a total stranger day and night and at the end depending on each other makes one great. Being able to listen to and offer helping hands makes one great. Being great is knowing that I am not doing it for money but making that client look and feel great. I have worked in the health and social care setting for nearly ten years. I have worked as a healthcare assistant in the hospital, as a support worker in the community at residential homes and now I am doing live-in. I like to help individual, support them to continue to be able to live independently in the comfort of their homes, care for those who need to be cared for and so on. I like sports like tennis, snooker, watching world cup football, swimming and going for walks including exercising. HP11 1FG 28629 I have acquired a wealth of experience working in social care through placements and working as a care assistant. I have good interpersonal skills that are very helpful in developing relationships and better delivery of support. My first caring job was caring for my own child and this developed my caring skills for other people, then worked with a couple as a live in carer. The wife had poor mobility and was very frail and needed support with personal hygiene. The husband suffered with dementia however, he was managing his personal care and required to be reminded to attend to hospital appointments due to the impact of dementia. I moved on and worked with adults 18-65 years suffering with mental health problems. It was a rehabilitation centre where clients were supported with skills of carrying out activities of daily living. When an individual has been in hospital with enduring mental health issues, some tend to lose their day to day functioning. My contract ended and moved on to work in an inpatient environment (hospital for over ten years) where I assisted patients with their daily living skills alongside qualified nurses to deliver effective care patients. This included carrying general observations and reporting to qualified staff registered nurses recording relevant information about patients and promoting continuation of care. During my working life in a inpatient hospital, I applied to train as a social worker to improve my skills and make a difference in people's live by supporting them through difficulty times, advocating and fighting on their behalf injustices they faced in their lives. During my course , I continued working part time with vulnerable adults. I am currently working with adults with mental health conditions supporting them with arranging packages of care, safeguarding them from possible harm and making sure they have suitable accommodation. I have no experience with catheter care, stoma, peg feeds and hoisting but I am willing to learn to provide the best care for an individual whom I will be caring for. I have a passion for cooking and got a distinction on Food and Nutrition on my GSCE's. I have knowledge of adults' eating a healthy balanced diet which is important part for maintaining good health. I am happy to cook the food preferred by an individuals according to their tastes. I have a good sense of humour and able to take things lightly in effect making people comfortable in what could be unpleasant or stressful moments. I have found out that it has a positive effect on some individuals. I don't smoke and unable to work in a household with animals due to impact animals have on my partner's asthma. My rates are negotiable depending on the care needs of that that particular individual. I am a driver but only comfortable to drive my own car. I would prefer 2 weeks on and one week off or weekend only live in vacancies. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

HP11 2TY 225537 I am a warm and kind Care Assistant who can work on the frontline of care delivery, helping patients or users to overcome their everyday difficulties. Due to my combined 7 years’ experience in the care work sector, I have gained many skills, which I believe are relevant for the role that I seek. These include meal preparation, housekeeping, bathing and grooming my client, feeding them, good health and safety standards and providing personal care. I also have knowledge in caring for vulnerable people like children and the elderly. At a community medical centre, I would assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including helping with meals and transferring using assistive devices. I also assisted in physiotherapy and occupational therapy.  I would also have to teach patients to use Zimmer frame and crutches. We were also required to provide emotional support and counselling to patients. I was a Voluntary Care worker at a Children’s Organization before I decided to pursue care work as a sole career or main career path. I would help in providing personal assistance to children with paralysis, autism and Down syndrome, providing emotional support and counselling and assisting in fund raising campaigns to help the children. We would teach Children new skills for them to be independent and do some things on their own that can help them financially like Sewing, Baking and promoting artistic creativity. Apart from ensuring that all patients are looked after physically, I believe it is also important to ensure that patients feel relaxed and happy. Due to this belief, I try to make my clients feel independent and abled and this make them happy. false
