The qualifications in South Africa are very different than here, not all are accepted here. And home schooling didn't need qualifications in South Africa. Currently I do weekend night sleep in for a lovely lady who has MS, epilepsy and kidney disease. Therefore my availability is on weekdays, I will be more available in the future when my client's situation changes. I have experience in hoists but prefer the client to be more mobile. I enjoy working with clients that have MS, Dementia and Autism. I am happy taking clients in the fresh air and going for walks. I don't drive but don't mind having a trip on the bus with the client. I am looking for clients that need me 3-5 hours per day. If the client is in the Syston/Queniborough area I will be happy to do 1 hour jobs. I don't mind light cleaning duties in the clients house or even cooking. It won't be a chef's meal but it will definitely be a wholesome meal. I will sit down and have a chat with the client before I cook, so that the client gets all the food the client enjoys. I absolutely love animals, I am happy to feed and groom the clients dog, cat or tortoise. My experience comes from South Africa. I have fostered over 20 kittens and over 20 puppies, the youngest being 3 days. I also currently have pets. Because I have a teaching background I love to learn new skill and I also keep my certificates up to date. When it comes to bank holidays, I am happy to work, my rate will however change for the bank holiday to time and a half. I do not work on Christmas, as family is important to me.
