I completed companionship visits, including personal care duties, end of life care including catheter and using hoist equipment. The medical conditions have included stroke, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, heart conditions, Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. I have also cared for my own Mum who has recently recovered from breast cancer. More recently I have looked after an elderly gentleman with Alzheimer's as a waking night, and also as a live in carer for a lady who was recovering from a stroke. We worked together to promote her independence and I assisted when required. Her health has improved greatly over several weeks. Both contracts were on a self-employed basis. I work closely with the physio and Occupational Therapists. I include the daily exercises to strengthen muscle groups and balance to aid mobility and independence. I also have experience as a Personal Assistant (PA) working with children and young adults with additional needs. I offer hourly companionship/care/chaperone duties and also respite care. I consider live in however I do have a dog and prefer to bring him with me if at all possible. I now have 5 years experience as a companion/carer.  FY4 1DR 11708 I am very patient, caring, loyal and trustworthy. I have been a live in Carer for 11 years. My first client who I was with for 3 years and 4 months had had a stroke. The second lady I was with had cancer of the spine so was paralysed unfortunately she passed away after 1 year. My third client had Dementia and unfortunately she passed away after 2 years and 11 months. I have been with my present client for 2years 9 months. My present client is unable to walk and has the early stages of dementia the client is 97.
