My work experience at Elderthorpe residential and nursing care home enabled me to communicate effectively. I gained knowledge of treating people as individuals and treating them equally. I have knowledge of promoting independence and making sure they are safe always using my knowledge of health and safety guidelines. LS22 6RQ 194304 Hello My name is Janine and I have over 30 years of experience in care or care-related industries, I started caring when my own son was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and learning difficulties so I can empathize with both clients and their families and friends and appreciate the many possible difficulties faced whilst also offering a positive person-centred approach. Over the last 30+ years, I have worked in holistic therapies, where I often did work with clients who had medical conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and cancer, and with the ambulance service where I was a paramedic dealing with emergencies, end-of-life situations and where I also did a secondment working with neonatal babies. Whilst living in London I did temporary care work for an agency that provided care mainly to children with complex medical conditions and disabilities. In addition to this, I have volunteered with a local charity providing both emotional and physical/medical support to a varying age range of clients from different backgrounds and driving a minibus enabling clients to go on trips and outings. More recently I have worked with people post-trauma and facilitated group sessions whilst promoting well-being using various methods such as art and nature. This last post also meant I had to take safeguarding and moving, and handling certificates and I am fully aware of GPDR compliance. Because of my past experiences and qualifications, I am able to work with a wide variety of clients of all ages and with various needs and I enjoy working in an environment where I feel I can make a positive difference in someone's life. I have a very calm, patient, and empathic personality and believe in a person-centred approach to care and in promoting independence and dignity. My degree is in social psychology, and I am currently studying for an MA in interdisciplinary psychology where I cover a wide range of approaches and critical views of mental health and wellbeing. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy creating mixed media art and visiting galleries and museums, I also enjoy being outside and just appreciating nature and often take my mindfulness and meditation practice outside. My other likes are cooking and experimenting with different foods from different cultures and reading. 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

LS8 2LE 241514 Hello, my name is Lucia and I am 49 years old. I come from a large family, three sisters and three brothers of whom I am the eldest. I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Psychology and Learning Disabilities, through distance learning. My hobbies are: reading, taking walks, baking, knitting and watching documentaries. I have a dark, dry sense of humour and often find something to smile about. I love to cook, bake, garden, sew, knit and crochet. I have an avid interest in religions and politics and always have a book or two in tow. I can walk for miles and miles and love having new experiences. I am a believer in people and their ability to be. I am up to date with my CV19 vacations. I am currently looking for clients that are mobile and do not require hoisting. Experience I have worked as a care worker/support worker for nearly 25 years and can say have no will to walk away. This is where I belong. Previously I have been a journalist, speechwriter, receptionist and cleaner. I started off as a home care worker, then worked with people with spinal injuries. I have also had experience with mental health, learning disabilities, autism, elderly care, end of life, forensic, brain injury, extensively with Parkinson’s Syndrome and children in care. I have also worked in secure units, hostels, nursing and residential homes. When I am doing live in jobs I prefer to have my 2 hour break each day. When starting with a new client I prefer to have 1 week settling in period where I can evaluate the client and then discuss my period of care. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}
