LE16 7DF 157829 I am a compassionate, kind and friendly carer. I enjoy working closely with others, especially older people. I have been caring for the last 10 years. I used to be a Personal Assistant for Directors in the Rail Industry. I took a break in my career when I had my children and when they were old enough to go to a play school I stumbled on caring and I have been doing that ever since. I find caring for elderly people very rewarding and enjoy listening to my clients. It is nice to engage with my clients and to find out what they used to love doing, or what career they had. I like reading and I walk a lot. I am originally from South Africa but I have been living in the UK for the last 20 years. Rates are negotiable and will be based on care required, distance of client as well as weekend and Bank Holidays. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

I have cared for people with a variety of needs over the years including, dementia, multiple sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, acquired brain injury and elderly care. I loved having the opportunity to work in different settings and with wonderful people. my last role was caring full time for a young lady with spinal muscular atrophy at home, I worked for her for 9 years until she passed away. Some of my duties included personal care, hoisting using a special hoist system, bathing, dressing, hair styling, facials, manicures, trips to cinema/theatre/pub/holidays, admin, booking/attending hospital appointments, walking and feeding her pet dog. I really enjoy working in the care industry and would love the opportunity to find a new role in a home setting where I can help someone to live as independently and confidently as possible. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

NN18 9DQ 273173 I have over 30 years experience of delivering care in a person centred way caring for people how I would like to be treated and respecting them while maintaining their dignity & going above and beyond to the best of my abilities. I am patient, a good listener and I enjoy my job. I am friendly, hard-working and chatty when you want to talk. Have spent the last 3 years looking after a husband and wife (private care). The husband said I had made myself indispensable and that he felt safe with me looking after him; helping him with continence care and dressing him in his favourite clothes, helping him shave with his electric razor and keeping everything clean how he liked it - person centred care at its best. His wife relied on me and felt at ease when I was there; helping her with her beauty routine, haircare with special products, and online shopping for clothes & shoes so she could look her best. I'd love to hear from you and how I can help you. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4"}
